Johnny has been working with mission-driven organizations since 2013. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Public Affairs, with a focus in Nonprofit Management, from the School of Public and Environmental Affairs at Indiana University.
Born and raised in Oak Park, Illinois, Johnny has always called the greater Chicago area home. Since joining Latz & Company in 2017, Johnny has worked with more than a dozen mission-driven clients as an Associate Consultant, supporting the firm’s organizational development and professional fundraising practice areas. In his tenure, Johnny has advanced many of Latz & Company’s strategic vision and assessment initiatives, conducting more than 20 assessment interviews and leading report development efforts for clients such as Citizen CPR Foundation and the Animal Care League. Additionally, Johnny has served as project manager for many of the firm’s brand, marketing and communications and interim advancement clients, including PACTT Learning Center, LINK Unlimited Scholars, and Notre Dame University Bangladesh.
Outside of Latz & Company, Johnny serves as the Vice President of the Board for the Professional Theatre and Dance Youth Academy – a Chicago-area nonprofit delivering curriculum-based and after school arts programming to children of color in the city’s underserved communities. He is also a member of the Beat the Streets Chicago Young Professionals Board, another Chicago-area nonprofit dedicated to empowering Chicago youth through wrestling.
Additionally, Johnny is a passionate advocate for mental health justice. Since 2015, he has dedicated many hours (and miles) training and fundraising as a Chicago Marathon charity runner for Erika Lighthouse – an organization dedicated to eliminating the stigma associated with mental illness and educating communities about teen depression.
